Rhinoceros is a show based in 1950s France by Eugene Ionesco. Throughout this show, many residents of their town turn into rhinoceroses. The story follows a man named Berenger as everybody around him turns into a rhinoceros. He struggles with the acceptance of people turning into rhinoceros with themes of fascism being present throughout the show. Towards the end of this production, we aren't sure if the rhinoceroses are literal or a comparison to the rise of fascism in the modern world.

During this moment in the show, Berenger is being heavily interrogated by his best friend, Jean. He breaks off from reality and gives a fierce monologue underscored by the above sound effect.
We begin act two with this overture with music by Jacques Tati. This cue represents a moment in the play where Berenger is suffering from nightmares caused by the looming threat of everybody around him succumbing to becoming a rhinoceros.
